Thermal Imaging and Borescope surveys to locate water leaks and areas of poor insulation
Gaps in insulation cause cold bridges which are responsible for significantly increased heat loss and increased energy bills. Also occupants can feel uncomfortable even if the room is warm due to radiant heat loss from the body to the cold surfaces.
Cold bridges can lead to condensation under certain weather conditions
Condensation, besides damaging timber and fabrics, eventually leads to the formation of mould which is detrimental to the health of occupants.
By carrying out a bore scope investigation we can identify problems in wall cavities and inaccessible areas behind the plaster board. Thermal imaging can identify the location of under floor leaks in central heating systems. This can save considerable mess and cost in digging up large areas of the floor. Damp patches in walls can be highlighted in the thermal images and the source of the problem identified.
