About Us
Prior to setting up as an energy consultant Ken worked for many years running Engineering and Technical departments of a large multinational in Shannon. He was responsible for design and installation of plant and equipment. He also managed teams of craftsmen, electricians and engineers on many installation projects. During that time he developed an awareness of improving energy performance and in particular of achieving payback for money invested in upgrades.
In 2006 Ken set up his energy consultancy and added to his qualifications certification in oil boiler installation , solar water heating installation, pellet boiler installation, sealing building envelopes, thermography, lighting and Building Energy Rating Assessments(BER).
Since then he has carried out several hundred home energy surveys in Clare and Limerick, both directly for clients and under the ESB Halo home energy efficiency programme and the SEAI Home Energy Savings (HES) scheme. He has managed the energy aspects of building and renovation jobs from €3,000 to €100,000
Paul lives in Ennis and works with an architectural practice in Limerick. In his off time he is available when called on to work with clients who are considering new buildings, renovations or extensions and wish to explore space and aesthetic concepts face to face with an architect before proceeding with the building work. He also works closely with Ken to ensure that these conceptual designs will achieve high energy ratings.
